Dholera Smart Industrial City project championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, envisioned as a futuristic smart city that will foster large-scale industrial and economic growth in Gujarat.
Project:
Varaha Infra Limited is executing the airport project, entrusted with the construction of critical airport infrastructure including development of 1426 Hectare area, a 3,200-meter runway suitable for 4E category. the airport is being constructed with CAT 3 Instrument Landing System (ILS) compliance, which ensures safe, round-the-clock operations under adverse weather conditions and low visibility, thereby supporting uninterrupted and reliable flight operations.
Challenge:
The project, renowned for its scale and complexity, has been planned for completion within two years, showcasing Varaha Infra’s capability in handling fast-track delivery. The civil works include massive earthwork quantities totaling around 2,50,00,000 cubic meters and laying about 2,50,000 cubic meters of Paving Quality Concrete (PQC), demonstrating precision and scale.
Strategy:
For the Dholera International Airport project, Varaha Infra Limited devised an aggressive and strategic execution plan to ensure timely delivery. The plan targeted completing 50,000 cubic meters of earthwork per day, coupled with 6,000 cubic meters of Paving Quality Concrete (PQC) per day. This ambitious schedule required meticulous coordination of resources, equipment, and manpower to maintain continuous workflow, effectively managing the huge volume of earthmoving and concrete laying operations demanded by the project’s scale. This disciplined approach was critical in meeting tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality construction, and supporting the ambitious timeline to operationalize the airport by early 2026, showcasing Varaha Infra’s capability in handling ultra-large infrastructure projects efficiently.

2. Vijayawada Project.
Project:
Varaha Infra Limited played a crucial role in the execution of the Eluru Bypass project, a significant infrastructure improvement initiative on NH-16 (previously NH-5). The project included the widening of the 4-lane road to 6 lanes over a major stretch.
Challenge:
Within a tight 6-month timeframe, the project demanded completion of a critical and complex feature—the precision-driven realignment of the Gunderu Canal, engineered to handle massive flash floods. This meticulous work not only preserved but enhanced the canal’s flood discharge capacity, flawlessly integrating hydraulic safety measures with the expanded highway infrastructure. This intervention transformed the Eluru Bypass into a resilient lifeline, safeguarding the region against waterlogging and flood damage.
Strategy:
Additionally, an extraordinary engineering challenge involved shifting an existing canal and reclaiming vast tracts of land from the old canal alignment. The highway was then constructed atop this reclaimed land, requiring the coordinated effort of approximately 200 dump trucks and 60 excavators working round the clock to achieve this transformative breakthrough.
